School-Wide Reading Program
“Read 30” School Wide Reading Program
Welcome to our 2016-17 Carderock Springs Reading Program! The goal is to increase the amount of independent reading taking place at home daily.
Directions
1. Each time you finish reading a book at home, you can write the title and color in a book. This should be independent reading. (The Kindergarten students may read the baggie books sent home by their teachers). You will color the shirt on the Read 30 paper. Papers were given out at the beginning of the year. Additional papers can be found in the main office.
2. When you have completed 30 books, please turn in this sheet (with your name and teacher written clearly) to Mrs. Zeitlin, the Reading Specialist.
3. You will receive a READ 30 TSHIRT, a certificate, your name and picture on the Wall of Fame, and your name announced on the news program!
4. You will be given a new Reading Log for “Read 60” so you can…Keep Reading Carderock!
